A Celebration of Life for Polly W. Richardson will be held on Monday, May 23rd at 4 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., with visitation prior to the service beginning at 3 o'clock. Burial will follow at Sharon Crossroads United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Polly Wilson Richardson went to celebrate a new life on May 19, 2022. She was born on October 22, 1960, to Murray and Ethlyn Wilson. She was employed by Lexington Medical Center at the time of her death, and prior to that was employed by Providence Hospital dedicating over 30 years of service.

She was a compassionate and loving lady who was always finding joy in giving to others. Polly loved spreading laughter with those she worked with, her family, and many friends along life's path.

She leaves behind her loving and dedicated husband of 32 years, Art; her children, Allie R. Branson (Jamie), Ethan C. Richardson (Sarah); and her sweet grandson, John Murray Richardson. She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick W. Durkin; maternal mother, Connie Walker; and maternal father, Frances Gamble.

Survivors also include her sisters, Barbara McManus (Donnie), Marie Roscoe (Sean), Tiffany Green; her brother, Jack Walker; mother-in-law, JoAnn Richardson; sister-in-law Joye Trivison (Jay); cousin, Louise Dailey (Michael); as well as dear friends, Trudi Moore, Shirley Gregg, & Mary Tobias; as well as numerous aunts, nieces and nephews, and a host of special friends and co-workers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Champions for Children.
