Preston Everett Dent, 67, of Hartsville, SC, died Friday, February 14, 2020. Raised in Columbia and Winter Park, FL, he was the son of the late Henry Carlisle Dent and Marjorie Dean Dent.

Survivors include brothers Henry Carlisle Dent, Jr. of Atlanta; Bryan David Dent of Hartsville; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 o'clock, Saturday, February 29th, at the Dent Family Cemetery, 5225 Fairfield Road, Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 o'clock until 1:30 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia.
