His laughter, encouragement, and unwavering support will remain a lasting gift to all who were blessed to know him.
Sports were more than just a pastime for Rafa—they were his calling. Whether watching, playing, or coaching, he found joy and purpose in the game. He was especially proud of his years coaching at Hammond School, where he inspired countless athletes not only to improve their skills, but also to believe in themselves, work hard, and never give up. His players remember him for his patience, wisdom, and the way he made everyone feel like part of the team.
