Randall Langevin DeClue, 64, of Pelion, SC, died Wednesday, September 1, 2021. Born January 4, 1957, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, he was a son of the late Robert Thurman DeClue and Elaine Margaret Langevin DeClue. Mr. DeClue earned his bachelor's degree in Philosophy from Angelicum: Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome, Italy. He was a devout Christian and a parishioner at The Basilica of Saint Peter in Columbia. Mr. DeClue was an avid golfer, bowler, and appreciated a great round of putt putt golf. He was a fabulous cook and shared his talents with his wife, as well as his children. Mr. DeClue loved spending time with his family, hosting holiday dinners, and engaging in philosophical conversations. In his spare time, you could find him enjoying a great movie or cheering on Clemson University athletics.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Ann Ballman DeClue; children, Dominique Marie DeClue, Matthew Joseph DeClue (Theresa), Danielle Christine DeClue, Noelle Annette Keel (Brandon), Joseph Alexander DeClue, Annemarie Elizabeth DeClue, Vincent Robert DeClue, and Phillip John-Michael DeClue; grandchildren, Sebastian Michael DeClue, Charlotte Lily DeClue, and Veronica Rose. He is also survived by three brothers, Robert (Elfriede), Richard (Peggy), and Ronald DeClue, as well as his sisters, Rachelle Shearon and Regina Hager. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three infant children, Mary Angela, Michael Gerard, and John Randall DeClue.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11 o'clock, Wednesday, September 15th at The Basilica of Saint Peter, 1529 Assembly St, Columbia, SC with The Very Reverend Canon Gary F. Linsky officiating.
Final commendation and farewell prayers will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, 1195 Mason Road, Columbia, SC.
A visitation will be held from 5 until 7 o'clock Tuesday, September 14th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC. A rosary service will be held during visitation beginning at 5:15 o'clock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests Mass donations be made to The Basilica of Saint Peter, 1529 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
