Ranzt B. Kibler, 85, of Columbia, died Sunday, October 25, 2015. Born in Columbia on November 8, 1929, he was a son of the late Wilbur M. Kibler and Edna Myrtle Ellisor Kibler. Ranzt served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, and retired as an electrician from Richland School District 2. He was a member of Woodfield Park Baptist Church, the Builders Sunday School Class, The Dentsville Masonic Lodge #398, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Celia Ruff Kibler; sons, Randy (Nancy) Kibler, Kenneth (Angie) Kibler, and Tony Kibler; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
A funeral service for Mr. Kibler will be held 2 o'clock, Wednesday, October 28th, at Woodfield Park Baptist Church, with The Rev. Jeff Philliips and The Rev. Dennis Banks officiating. Interment will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock, Tuesday evening at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family suggests memorials be made to Woodfield Park Baptist Church, 1834 Morninglo Lane, Columbia, SC 29223.
