Mrs. Rebecca Leah Green Kromah was born on December 28, 1952, in Monrovia, Liberia and departed this life on May 27, 2022, in the United States of America.

She was the daughter of the late Mr. Stephen Augustus Greene and Mrs. Leah Rebecca Slocum-Greene. Rebecca received her Early Education from St. Theresa Convent School and graduated high school from Risk's Institute in Liberia. She later earned her degree in Administration from C.W.A. Junior College. Rebecca was also a graduate of Mary Ann Cheeseman Home Economics School, and Lincoln Clerical School. She worked for Eunis Brothers, Bong County Agriculture and Development Project, Bank of Monrovia, and the Ministry of Information in Liberia.

Rebecca later relocated to the United States of America with her family and worked for the Columbia Urban League Inc., and later retired. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family, listening to gospel music, singing, caring for children, and learning new things. Ms. Greene had a humanitarian heart. She will always be remembered for her loving, compassionate, generous, and humble personality. She was a devoted member of the Providence Baptist Church in Monrovia, Liberia. Ms. Rebecca was married to Mr. John S. Kromah.

Survivors include her children, Hawa M. Kromah, Shantal M. Toh (Patrick), Ciata S. Togba, Miama R. Kromah, Fermina S. Toe (Joseph) and John S. Kromah Jr; grandchildren, Velda, Hazel, Leshan, Roosevelt, Mesheck, Joseph Jr., Marcia, Josiah, and Joshua; her Mother, Ms. Leah Greene; Siblings, Mrs. Bennetta Mensah, Mr. Nathan Stubblefield, Mrs. Theresa Jordan, Mrs. Thelma Saunders, and Mr. Simeon Stubblefield. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her Son, Bimba Kromah, as well as her Siblings, Ms. Luetta Greene and Mr. Lawrence Stubblefield and Nephew, Lawrence Stubblefield Jr.

The funeral service for Mrs. Rebecca Leah Greene, will be held at 10 o'clock on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia SC 29223., with burial to follow at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Rd, Columbia 29204. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o'clock on Friday, June 17, 2022, at the funeral home.
