Obituary
Rena Mooneyhan Turner, 60, of St. Matthews, passed away July 24, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center freeing her from a long battle with cancer. She was born July 17, 1955 in Fort Jackson, SC to the late Jack Laverne Mooneyhan, Sr. and Martha Knotts Mooneyhan.
Rena was a 1973 graduate of Seneca High School and was employed as a legal secretary and most recently a forester with Rochester Forestry. She enjoyed nature, life, people and her Tuesday Girls.
She is survived by her loving husband of seven years, William Eugene Turner; her sister and friend, Jacqueline Elizabeth Mooneyhan of Cayce, SC; two brothers, Jack Leverne Mooneyhan, Jr. (Joan), and John Stephen Mooneyhan (Donna) all of Lincolnton, NC; and her aunt, Lena Ruth Mooneyhan of West Columbia, SC.
The family will greet friends at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC 29223, from 1 until 3 o'clock, Monday afternoon, July 27, 2015. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
