Richard Brian Outlaw, 56, of Irmo, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2014 after a very brief illness. Born October 7, 1957 in Columbia, he was a son of Mary Ann Sharpe Outlaw and the late Robert Lee Outlaw. He was employed with C.O.W. Communications.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his widow, Melissa Outlaw of Irmo; a daughter, Olivia Ann Outlaw of the home; three sisters, Carolyn (David) Mitchell, Gwen Franklin, and Sherry (Ray) Massengale all of Columbia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Keith Outlaw.

A service for Mr. Outlaw will be held at 3 o'clock, Sunday, January 5 at New Heights Church with The Rev. Michael L. Townsend officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. Condolences may be sent to the home of Richard's mother or to the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Heights Church, 5501 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.
