Obituary
Mr. Rickie David Pressley, 74, of Columbia, SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025. Born on February 27, 1951, he was the son of the late Samuel Braxton Pressley and the late Dorothy Courtney Pressley.
Rickie enjoyed being outdoors. In his younger years, he loved to go camping and fishing along the rivers of the Carolina's. He enjoyed the beautiful Lake Murray and being around his family. He was a painter and carpenter.
Rickie is survived by his son, David Pressley (Beth) of Piedmont, AL; daughter, Charity Daye (Patrick) of Augusta, GA, grandchildren, Kendall Pressley Rogers, and Jordan Pressley of Piedmont, AL, Keely Samuels of Augusta, GA, and Ciera Holder of South Korea; one great-granddaughter, Collin Rogers of Piedmont, AL; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Rickie was preceeded in death by his brothers, Ronald, Toney, Dean, Michael, and Joel Pressley; and sisters, Ann Purifoy, and Mitzie Palmer.
The family will hold a memorial service and celebration for Rickie David Pressley at a later date and time.
Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
