Robert A. Smith, 48, of Cayce, went home to his Lord and Savior, Monday, February 25, 2013. Born in Columbia he was a son of Mary Louise Cook Smith and the late Manly Leroy Smith. Robert loved to read the bible, listen to Christian music, animals and the outdoors.

He is survived by his loving mother, Mary Louise Cook Smith; brothers, Roy Alvin Smith, Carl D. Smith, Glenn E. Smith (Pat), Mark D. (Sandi) Smith; sisters, Mary Louise (Bennie) Paxton, Paula Baker, Deborah D. (Mike) Potter and Cathy D. (Phil) Burgess as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Smith will be held at 3 o'clock Friday, March 1, 2013 at Shives Funeral Home, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with The Rev. John Lastinger officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow in The Kelly Cemetery.
