Robert W. "Boss Man" Brimson, Sr., 50, of Ridgeway, died unexpectedly Friday, December 30, 2016. Robert was born in Miami, FL on March 1, 1966. A member of Sawney's Creek Baptist Church, Robert was a man of many talents, had a big heart, and was always willing to help someone in need.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Worley "Angie: Brimson; son, Robert W. Brimson, Jr. (Kayla); daughter, Meagan Brimson Odom ( Steven); stepchildren, Ashley Tucker (Pompey), Phillip Clarkson (Shannon), Jeanne Smart; grandchildren, Ryleigh, Keegan, River, and Southerlyn; sister, Kim Harley (Bill); nephews, Will, and Cole; father figure, Steve Reynolds; childhood friends, Cody Middleswart, Blake Fowler, Paul White, Allen Boyd, and David Cable. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Coons Gonzales.

A service will be held 6 o'clock, Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Sawney's Creek Baptist Church with The Rev. Dean Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Sawney's Creek Baptist Church, 14605 SC 34, Ridgeway, SC 29130. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
