Robert "Bobby" Walter Elders, 70, of Eastover, died Wednesday, July 19, 2017. A son of Lily M. Elders and the late Charles M. Elders, he was a member of McLeod United Methodist Church. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, caring attitude, and service to his country.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his brothers and sisters, Susie Elders Waddell (Jim), Margaret Elders, Jimmy Elders (Pat), Sherry Elders Jackson (Raymond), Randy Elders (Jo Ellen) all from Eastover, Charles Elders, and Grace Matthews; and several nieces and nephews. His nephew, Jonathan Thomas, was like a son to him.

A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, July 22nd, at McLeod United Methodist Church with The Rev. Sharon L. "Shay" Long officiating. The interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
