Mr. Robert Earl Geiger, Jr., 92, of Irmo, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025. Born in Columbia, SC, on July 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Robert Earl Geiger, Sr. and Nettie Estelle Brazell Geiger.
Mr. Geiger proudly served in the United States Army and South Carolina National Guard. Mr. Geiger was a dedicated Christian man, who was passionate about his faith. He stayed extremely involved in the churches he attended throughout his life, serving as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and pianist. Mr. Geiger enjoyed traveling in his RV with his family. They enjoyed many trips to Gatlinburg and the USC tailgates to cheer on his Gamecocks!
Mr. Geiger never met a stranger; he was one who always made a friend everywhere he went. He was a "jack of all trades." He had many talents that allowed him to help his family with different projects… his children rarely had to call a professional because they always could call their dad.
Mr. Geiger is survived by his wife of 74 years, Geneva Jackson Geiger; his children, Virgina Fincannon of Irmo, SC, Barbara Hilton (Chuck) of Columbia, SC, and Glen Geiger (Aprill) of Lexington, SC; grandchildren, Scott Fincannon, Abbey Sullivan (Andrew), Charlene Pillow (Jason), Amanda Geiger, and Caroline Railey (Aaron); and great-grandchildren, Walker Sullivan, Spencer Sullivan, Banks Sullivan, Emma Young, Christian Railey, and Cameron Railey. He was predeceased by his parents listed above and his children, Ronald Allen Geiger and Robert Alton Geiger.
