Mr. Robert L. Hiott, 81, of Lexington, died Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Walterboro.
Born in Charleston, SC, he was the son of the late Carn Foch Hiott, Sr. and Mary Alice Baker Hiott. He attended schools in Colleton County and carried with him a strong work ethic and values instilled in him from an early age.

He had a lifelong love for fast cars and old tractors, always happiest under the hood or turning an engine. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed camping, fishing, square dancing and even the simple satisfaction of raking and sharing pine straw. He appreciated hard work; the outdoors and time spent with family and friends. Mr. Hiott will be remembered for his dedication to his craft, his love for the outdoors and the lasting impact he made on those he knew and loved him.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Hiott and fiancée Sandra; his brother, Carn Foch Hiott, Jr. and his wife Linda; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Puckett Hiott and his sister, Annamae McMillan.
The graveside service for Mr. Hiott will be held at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, February 18th at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia.
