Mr. Robert Russell Lee, 68, of Columbia, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Born March 18, 1945, in Columbia, he was a son of the late Ernest Pressley Lee and Mildred Lillian Dinkins Lee.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Proveaux Lee; daughters, April Lee Richardson and husband, Rickey, of Lexington, SC, Allison Lee of Columbia; son, Robert "Rusty" Lee; brothers, Steve Lee and wife, Mary Lou, Donnie Lee and wife, Cathy; sisters, Shirley Hobby and husband, Charles, Debra Burton and husband, Ronald, all of Columbia; grandchildren, Chanda, Jessica, Jacob, and Abbi; great grandchildren, Brian, Amy, Dillon, and Justin. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest "Carl" Lee, Jr.; and sister, Betty Lee.

A memorial service Mr. Lee will be held 4 o'clock, Saturday, August 3rd, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia, with The Rev. Brian Lee officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 3 o'clock. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
