Robert Edward Lockhart, 50, of Columbia, died on Thursday, October 19, 2023. Born in Columbia, SC, on December 14, 1972, he was a son of Geraldine Williamson Lockhart and the late Robert Harold Lockhart.
Robbie graduated from Lower Richland High School where he played the saxophone in the band, became a member of the orchestra, as well as joined the golf team. He worked at the University of South Carolina until his health prevented him in 2020. His free time was spent with his family, and he enjoyed cooking, fishing and playing softball. There is no doubt that his three children were the light of his life and he loved them so.
In addition to his mother, Robbie is survived by his children, Karsyn G. Lockhart, Isabelle J. Lockhart and Madisyn E. Lockhart; sister, Stephanie E. Lockhart; step-daughter, Kayla R. Leake; and the mother of his children, Michelle Parham; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Harold Lockhart; his paternal grandparents, Claude Edward Lockhart and Faye Lockhart; and his maternal grandparents, Frank Williamson "Papa" and Dorothy Williamson "Nana".
The service for Mr. Lockhart will be held at 3:30 o'clock, on Sunday, October 22nd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service at First Church of God, 2665 Covenant Rd, Columbia, SC.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rush Williamson, Lad Williamson, Ken Bass, Kevin Blackmon, Chuck Caldwell, Thomas Caldwell, James Padgett, Bobby Rippy and Jack Rippy.
