Robert V. Merendino, 79, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020. Born September 17, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Gasper Merendino and Josphine Punzina Merendino.

Robert was a US Marine and known as one of the bravest, hardest working, kindest, and stoic person. He also had a creative, tender side that made him a "cool dude", as he enjoyed photography and was a fabulous Jazz musician. Robert was also an optician for many years.

He is survived by his sister, Patricia Merendino; his long- time friend Diane "Elizabeth" Pinzon; along with his cousins Tommy, and Gloria.

Due to concerns with Covid19, the family will have a Celebration of Life for Robert at a later date. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family.
