Robert Hayne Shealy, 84, of Chapin, died Sunday, February 21, 2016. Mr. Shealy was born on April 16, 1931, in Newberry County to the late Virgil James and Anna Koon Shealy. He was married the late Dolly Ann Morrison and was a great husband and father, who loved being in his garden. After attending Columbia Business College, he worked for the R.L. Bryant Printing Company until he retired. Mr. Shealy was a lifelong member and former deacon of Park Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are his son, Alan Shealy (Cathy); grandson, Nicholas Shealy; granddaughter, Denise Shealy and his dog, Bently. In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Horlacher.

Funeral services will be held 1 o'clock, Tuesday, February 23rd, at Park Street Baptist Church, Columbia with the Rev. Dr. Lawrence Dennis officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12 o'clock. Burial will follow in Serenity Gardens at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The Friday Night Supper Club, Riley Sunday School Class and all active and retired Deacons will serve as honorary pallbearers. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
