Robert Frank Sowers, 85, of Moncks Corner, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Born May 15, 1935, in Columbia, he was a son of the late Lawrence Andrew and Carrie Silvers Sowers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Ann Strange and brothers-in-law, Howard Strange and Clyde Koon.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Sowers worked in the banking industry for many years. He was of the Catholic faith and attended many parishes throughout his lifetime.
Survivors include his sister, Rose Marie Koon; nieces, Molly Walker and Linda Sharpe; nephew, David Koon; as well as a multitude of extended family and friends.

A graveside service for Mr. Sowers will be held 11 o'clock Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, is assisting the family.

Everyone is invited to attend but will be asked to abide by the state's recommendations of wearing masks and social distancing to provide a safe environment for all.
