Obituary
Mr. Robert "Bobby" William Stedman, Jr., 57, of Columbia, SC, died Saturday, July 22, 2023. He was born to the late Mr. Robert W. Stedman, Sr. and Mrs. Frances Marie Stedman on February 2, 1966 in Memphis, TN.
Bobby Stedman was very proud of his service in the United States Army. He enlisted in 1992 and served until being medically discharged in 2000. He was a recipient of the Audie Murphy Award and exemplified the motto, "You lead from the front." He had a large personality and was known as the life of the party. If you were his friend, you were his family. He loved to cook and loved Carolina Panthers football. He loved his children and was an excellent father to them. Bobby will be deeply missed by all his friends and family.
Bobby is survived by his son, Mac Stedman; his daughter, Shelby Paige Stedman; and his continued friend and mother of his children, Stacey Stedman.
A private committal service will be held for Mr. Stedman at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
