Reverend Robert G. Ward, Sr. was called by his Heavenly Father to his eternal home on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Reverend Ward was born on October 12, 1932, in Williamsburg County, South Carolina to the late L.E. and Eunice Eaddy Ward. He faithfully served as a minister in the SC Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 57 years. During that time, he pastored five churches and was elected to serve as treasurer of the SCIPHC, and he served numerous years as a District Elder.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Janice W. Ward; his sons, R. Glen Ward, Jr. (Denise), Mark L. Ward, Reverend Hugh D. Ward (Kelly); daughter, Lisa W. Davis (Stan); as well as six grandchildren, Robert Glen (Trey) Ward, III, Emily R. Ward, Kristen M. Ward, A. Mackenzie Ward, S. Evan Davis, and Jenna L. Davis.

A service of worship honoring the life and ministry of Reverend Ward will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at 3 o'clock at Redemption Church – Columbia, 5630 Platt Springs Road, Lexington, SC 29073. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
The family will also receive friends on Monday, June 18, 2018, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenhom Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Extension, Columbia, SC.
