Obituary
Robin "Robbie" Lynn Evans, 63, of Columbia, died Sunday, December 23, 2018. Born July 31, 1955, in Winston Salem, North Carolina, he was a son of Robert Lee Evans and the late Sallie Mae Groce.
Robin proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a passionate model builder who especially loved WWII battle dioramas.
Survivors include his father, Robert Lee Evans of Dillon, SC; step mother, Betty Evans of Dillon, SC; four brothers, Ronnie Dean Evans of Garland, TX, Kenneth Steven Evans of Dayton, TN, Jeffrey Gray Evans of Clemmons, NC, and James Allen Evans of High Point, NC; step brothers, George L. Williamson of Marion, SC, and Kelly H. Williamson of Myrtle Beach, SC; one step sister, Wendy Melvin of Lumberton, SC.
The graveside service for Mr. Evans will be held 11 o'clock, Monday, December 31st, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
