Ronald Eugene Jenkins, Jr., 41, of Gaston, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Born in Columbia, on October 17, 1971, he was a son of Ronald Eugene Jenkins, Sr. and Mary Katherine Riggins Hatchell. He was employed with Computer Science Corporation.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Kornahrens Jenkins; sons, John Kristopher Jenkins of Elgin and Alexander Lee Jenkins of Gaston; four grandchildren; father, Ronald Jenkins of Keedysville, MD; mother, Kathy (John) Hatchell of Kissimmee, FL; sisters, Veonna Butler of Kissimmee, FL; Caroline A. Hatchell-Jolly (Paul) of West Columbia; brothers, John Hatchell, Jr. (Mary Kay) of Lake Murray, and Allen J. Hatchell of Folly Beach, SC.

The memorial service for Mr. Jenkins will be held at noon, Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel, 5202 Colonial Drive, Columbia. The Rev. Doug Self will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 11 o'clock.
