Ronald Erskine Moorer, Jr., 51, of Gaston, died at his parents' home on Friday, November 20, 2020. Born in Columbia, SC, on January 29, 1969, he was a son of Ronald Erskine Moorer and Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee Provo Moorer. Ronnie was a hard-working person who loved his family. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His pride and joy was raising his grandson, Noah Moorer, to whom he was deeply devoted.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Amber Moorer, Joshua Moorer, Jerica Moorer; grandchildren, Noah Moorer and Emma Moorer; sisters, Robin Sharpe (Daryll) and Rhonda Moorer Davis (Ray); brothers, Rick Moorer and Rodger Moorer (Patty); as well as a friend, John Burns; and host of nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

The funeral service for Mr. Moorer will be held 2 o'clock, Tuesday, November 24th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 o'clock. Burial will follow the service in Lexington Memorial Cemetery, 1772 W Main St, Lexington, SC 29072.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rodger and Joshua Moorer, Daryll Sharpe, Brandon Jeffcoat, Brandan Barnette, and Zach Moorer.
