Mr. Ronald Erskine Moorer, Sr., 78, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, April 28, 2024. Born January 13, 1946, he was a son of the late Gladys McPherson Moorer and Lever Moorer. Ronald was a devoted husband, father, and Christian. He is now celebrating in heaven.

Survivors include his children, Rhonda Moorer Davis (Ray), Rick Moorer (Tara), and Rodger Moorer (Patty); grandchildren, Graham, Brandan, Lauren, Amber, Josh, Eric, Zack, Charlie, Chasen, Raygan, Brianna, and Sami; sister, Margaret Poda; and many great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Jackie Lee Moorer; son, Ronald E. Moorer, Jr.; daughter, Robin L. Sharpe, and granddaughter, Jerica L. Moorer.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 1, from 6 until 8 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 2, at 11 o'clock at Lexington Memorial Cemetery, 1772 W. Main St., Lexington.
