Obituary
Rosa Amalia Garcia, 88, of Columbia, died Saturday, April 8, 2017. Born July 23, 1928 in Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Andres Garcia and Maria Garcia-Diaz. Rosa was a loving mother and grandmother, and retired from the US Naval Exchange.
She is survived by her son Carlos Lopez and his wife, Bonnie Lopez; grandchildren, Jose Carlos Lopez, Jr., John Collins Lopez and his wife, Meredith, Helen Marie Seelye, Yvonne Wagner; and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Lola Reese, and Marina Hillenbrand.
A service of remembrance will be held at a later date. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
