Rosea Carolyn Sellers Newton, 79, of Columbia, died Sunday, October 20, 2019. Born in Conway, SC, on April 28, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Henry Harmon and Lucille Nealy Sellers. Carol loved flowers, especially roses and was passionate about holistic medicine. Family was always first and foremost in her life; and she enjoyed spending time with them at family gatherings.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Randy Eugene Newton; daughters, Ann Rashleigh (Jack) and Doris Jacques (Bruce); son, Larry Brazell (Sandi); grandchildren, Kevin Joye, Noelle Joye, McKenzie Costner, Carrie Byrd, Leiah Jacques, Drew Williamson, Zoey Brazell; great grandchildren, Bryson Joye, Cannon Costner, Peyton Costner, Lynzie Joye-Serdoz, Grady Byrd, Natalie Williamson, Adalyn Byrd, Kayla Joye-Serdoz, and a brother, Henry Harmon Sellers, Jr. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her children, Alice Ann Brazell and Harvey Brazell, Jr.; a sister, Evelyn Richardson; and brother, Donald Sellers.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Newton will be held 6:30 o'clock, Wednesday, October 23rd, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Burial in Memorial Gardens of Columbia will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service beginning at 5 o'clock.
