Mrs. Roselee Wills Townsend, 87, of Chapin, died Friday, May 15, 2015. Born in Mountain City, TN on November 23, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Maybelle Dickens Wills. Roselee was a loving mother and grandmother, and was a former employee of Publix where she worked for 20 years as a cashier. She was a member of New Heights Church, and she lived out her faith in Jesus Christ through her love and service to others.

Roselee is survived by her sons, The Rev. Michael L. Townsend (Debby) of Chapin, Charlie Townsend (Jan) of Jacksonville, FL, Daryl Townsend (Angee) of Winston-Salem, NC; daughter, Donna Schicho (Larry) of Alpharetta, GA; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.H. Townsend, Jr., and by four siblings.

The funeral for Mrs. Townsend will be held at 11 o'clock, Tuesday, May 19th, at New Heights Church with The Rev. Michael L. Townsend officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be Wednesday, May 20th, at Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens, 521 Old East King Street, Boone, NC, 28607. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Heights Church, Youth Scholarships, 5501 Broad River Rd., Columbia, SC, 29212.
