Ross Lee McCall, 84, of Tuscumbia AL, passed away at 8:32 AM on Monday, February 16, 2026, in Anderson SC, surrounded by people who adore him. Born in Pinehurst NC, he was the son of the late Guy Melvin and Stella Ruby "Ross" McCall. Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Friend too many people, He spent his last days, as always, endearing himself to those around him and making them laugh. Mr. McCall was a veteran of the United States Air Force, a computer programmer, lobbyist and public speaker, who was very active in his church.

Mr. McCall is survived by three daughters, Tammy Renee McCall and Kelly VanGilder of Florida, and Paige McCall of Oklahoma; a son, Guy Melvin McCall II of Florida; one sister, DeLette Byrd of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Grayson Alexander Miller and Addison Marie Miller of Florida, Lindsey Haines of Texas; and one great-grandson, Banks Alexander Miller of Florida.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2:30 o'clock, Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29203. He will be laid to rest next to his father and mother, Guy Melvin McCall and Stella Ruby Ross-McCall; near his Grand-parents Eddie Ross and Laura Ross. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia, SC 29223, is assisting the family. Also on Saturday, February 28, 2026, Hampton Heights Baptist Church - 220 Baker Ln, Tuscumbia, Alabama - is hosting a memorial service commencing at 2:00PM.
