Rozena Jackson Ross, 83, of Chapin, died Sunday, August 7, 2016. She was a daughter of the late Lawton James and Mary Eugenia Cromer Jackson.

Mrs. Ross attended The Salvation Army Church of Irmo. She was a loving mother and grandmother who dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Roland (Darrell); grandchildren, Darrell "Gene" Roland Jr. (Sara), Matthew Roland (Stephanie), Alyssa Cochran (Rich) and Crystal Shetley (Kevin); great grandchildren, Darrell, Rose, Cadyn, Asher, Micah, Kathryn, Richard, Bronson, Nathan and Mackenzie. She is also survived by a brother, Albert Jackson; and a sister, Louise Timms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 30 years, James Edward Ross; a daughter, Catherine Ross; three brothers and two sisters.

The service for Mrs. Ross, will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday, August 10th, at The Salvation Army Church of Irmo, 7532 Irmo Drive, Irmo, SC. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W. Dunbar Rd, West Columbia, SC. The family will receive friends, Tuesday evening at the church from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
