Ruby Renee Davis King, 63, of Elgin, died on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Born in Monroe, GA, on August 25, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lucille McGahee Davis. Ruby worked as an Activity Coordinator with the Midlands Center and was a member of North Columbia Church of God.

Survivors include her sons, Anthony King (Sharon), Mikel King; bothers Jimmy Davis, Jeff Davis (Michelle), Joan Sorrels, Brenda Tullis (Dennis); grandchildren Victoria Cummings, Caroline Eatmon, Kathleen Solar, Kristen Solar, John Connor Eatmon, and Wesley Ryan Lee; as well as a host of other family members. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Braxton King; brothers Jerry Davis and Joe Davis.

The funeral service for Mrs. King will be held at 11 o'clock, Tuesday, May 4th, at North Columbia Church of God, 1004 Lorick Road, Blythewood. Burial will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 1 o'clock. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 until 7 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia.
