Ruby Hinnant Kiser, 92, of Cedar Creek, died peacefully at home, Monday, December 26, 2016. Born in Upper Richland County on November 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Rhett R. Hinnant and Ella Eargle Hinnant. Mrs. Kiser was a charter member of Virginia Wingard Memorial United Methodist Church. She served in the church nursery and was a life member of The American Bible Society. Mrs. Kiser retired from Arrow Exterminating and volunteered for countless hours at Providence Hospital and the Sterling House.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, William Ray Kiser; son, Daniel "Danny" Ray Kiser (Becky); daughter, Claudette Kiser Horn (Chris); grandchildren, Derek Ray Durst, Erin Alicia Horn, Maria H. Malotte, Abby Lynn Morales, and Anna K. Montgomery; great-grandchildren, Rosslyn Durst, Cooper Durst, Evelyn Morales, Lucy Ray Montgomery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Ann Suddreth; three brothers, and one sister.

A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, December 30th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery will be private.
