Obituary

Rudolph Charldon Kinchen, 81, of Lugoff, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016. Born March 2, 1934, to the late William E. and Adell Fordham Kinchen of Dublin, GA, he served during the Korean and Vietnam conflicts and retired from the US Army. Mr. Kinchen was a member of Alpine Baptist Church.

He is survived by his nephews, John Wayne (Betty) Veal, and Bobby (Wynette) Veal of Dublin, GA; nieces, Judy Veal, and Linda White of Dublin, GA, Clara Brooks, of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law, J.C. Veal; and a special friend, Grady Martin and her family.

Mr. Kinchen was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Howell Kinchen; brothers, Freelon and Arce Kinchen; and sister, Myrtle Veal.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock, Saturday, January 30th at God's Lighthouse Independent Baptist Church, 120 Goins Lane, Elgin, SC. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext.
