Ruth Norma Elliott, 87, of Chester, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at the White Oak Manor in Columbia, SC. Born in Chester on July 22, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Thomas F. and Ruth Emily Hamiter Elliott. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Miss Elliott spent her professional career as an interior decorator. She was a member of the Chester First Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by her brother, Thomas Elliott; and sister, Patricia Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carole Harker. Friends are invited to leave memories and condolences in the guestbook.
