Obituary
Sara B. Conde, 95, of Columbia, died on Thursday, March 13, 2025. She was born on March 10, 1930, in Keokuk County, Iowa, a daughter of the late Arthur and Edith Hough Baird. Sara graduated from Cornell College in 1951. She worked for many years as a food stylist before retiring in Columbia in 1992.
Survivors include her sons, Christopher of St. Louis, MO, Thomas (Lisa) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, and Gregory of Columbia; as well as eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Conde.
A memorial service will be held at a future date and will be announced by Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 1100 Sumter Street, Columbia, SC 29201.
