Sara Dale Martin Kneece, age 95, widow of Lewis H Kneece, died November 1, 2017.
Born in Abbeville, SC, Mrs. Kneece was the daughter of J.W. "Cap" and Ethelyn Dale Martin. She graduated from Abbeville High School, attended Erskine College and graduated from Draughon's Business College. She worked in the I.G. office at Fort Jackson and retired from the V.A. Regional Office.

Mrs. Kneece was a long-time, faithful member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Friendship Sunday School Class and Circle #6. She is survived by daughters, Susan Segroves (Ron) and Jane Dennis; grandchildren, James (Jamie) and John (Ashley) Segroves, Julie (James) Metze and Jimmy Dennis; great grandchildren, Trey and William Metze; and a sister, Mary Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Martin; sisters, Marion Moore and Betty McCurry; and granddaughter, Kristy Segroves. Mrs. Kneece enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Services will be held 1 o'clock, Monday, November 6th, at Main Street United Methodist Church, with Dr. Robert Walker officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12 o'clock in the church parlor. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, 1830 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
