Sarah Presley Cooper
Sarah Presley Cooper, 80, died Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Sarah was the daughter of Edwin Haselden and Margaret Watson Cooper of Columbia. A graduate of the University of South Carolina, Sarah was a life-long caregiver for animals.
Survivors include brothers Edwin (Norrie) Cooper of Columbia and William (Patti) Cooper of Wagener, and sister Marguerite Ferguson of Blythewood, as well as many nieces and nephews. Sarah was predeceased by her parents and brother Robert Cooper.
Her family will gather for a graveside funeral in Elmwood cemetery at 11 o’clock on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
Memorials may be directed to the Hoof & Paw Benevolent Society of South Carolina.
Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
