Sarah L. McCoy, 82, of Columbia, died Saturday, March 19, 2016. Born August 7, 1933, in McColl, SC, she was a daughter of the late Grover Lee and Eunice Irene Crowley Lockey. Mrs. McCoy was a military wife, married to Robert D. McCoy, for 60 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family. Mrs. McCoy was a wonderful cook and was a member of Woodfield Park Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Sarah is survived by a daughter, Saron Coffman (Keith), of Irmo, SC; son, Bobby McCoy (Sheila), of Lugoff, SC; five grandchildren and their spouses, five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Peggy Jackson, of Bennettsville, SC. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Helon Roberson.

A graveside service for Mrs. McCoy will be held 2 o'clock, Wednesday, March 23rd, at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, with Pastor Jeff Phillps officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the McCoy home. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
