Sarah Jane Rhoney, 59, of Columbia, died Saturday, August 27, 2022. Born at Fort Benning, Georgia, Sarah was a daughter of the late Charles Wakefield and Betty Jean Brooks Rhoney. She was preceded in death by her older sister, Beth Rhoney.

Sarah was a graduate of AC Flora High School and for most of her life was a children's daycare caregiver and teacher's aide. She was employed for 26 years in the weekday program at North Trenholm Baptist Church. Prior to working at North Trenholm, Sarah worked for Lane Bryant. She was very fond of her cat, Quinn, and enjoyed participating in the plays at North Trenholm and the Town Theater.

Survivors include her uncle, Terry Brooks (Gail), and many good friends.

A service will be held at 3 o'clock, Sunday, September 4th at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends following the service. A private burial will be at Memorial Gardens of Columbia.
