Ms. Saundra Blizzard Hoffman, 66, of Columbia, died on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Born on January 30, 1958, in Columbia, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Robert Blizzard and the late Edna "Inez" Blizzard.

Saundra, who preferred to be called Cindi, graduated from A.C. Flora High School and retired from Michelin.

Cindi had a great love for animals. Though she especially loved Chihuahuas, it was perhaps her greatest joy in life to help any dog or cat in need, and she also never hesitated to stop and assist a turtle crossing the road.

Cindi was a believer in Jesus Christ who was also passionate about politics, and she spent much of her time watching the news and listening to her favorite radio show hosts.

She loved going to eat at buffets, and her favorite restaurant was Golden Corral, but she equally enjoyed Chinese food. She made the best homemade fried pork chops, chicken stew, and pound cake.

Other things Cindi enjoyed were shopping at thrift stores, Coca-Cola, cherry Lifesavers, clown figurines, chocolate-covered cherries, and a fresh Krispy Kreme donut--particularly the ones from Marietta, Georgia, which she said tasted better than any others. She also loved music and enjoyed listening to Rascal Flatts and Tauren Wells.

She is survived by her daughters Ashley Bowden, Lauren Campbell, Meredith Hoffman, and Mackenzie Hoffman; grandsons Gavin Bedell, Tyler Bedell, and Grayson Bedell; twin sister Wanda Baker; and niece Shannon Green.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Blizzard. She was also preceded in death by all the animals she loved over the years, namely her little dogs Kelly, Tippy, and, most recently, Eve.

Visitation for Ms. Hoffman will be held for friends and family to gather from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext. Columbia, SC 29223. The funeral service will proceed at 1:30 pm following the visitation. The committal service will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 7100 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209, Section T., immediately following the funeral service.
