Selma Theresa Price, 98, died Thursday, May 11th, 2023 in Wake Forest, NC after a short illness. Selma was born March 21st, 1925 in Washington, DC.

Selma had over 8,000 hours of community service. She volunteered at Harvest Hope, Oliver Gospel Mission, the Kidney Foundation, Salvation Army, and St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

Selma is survived by her children, Marvin Price and Carolyn (Lee) Smith; two granddaughters and four great grandchildren.

Selma is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Nelson Price, Sr.

A graveside service will be held for Mrs. Selma Price on Tuesday, May 16th at 11:30 o'clock at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Rd., Columbia, SC. Visitation will be held at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Drive Chapel, 5202 Colonial Dr., Columbia, SC, prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 o'clock.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Harvest Hope, 2220 Shop Rd., Columbia, SC, or Oliver Gospel Mission, 1100 Taylor St., Columbia, SC, in Mrs. Selma's honor.
