Obituary
Shawn Michael Smith, 20, of West Columbia, died Sunday, April 24, 2016. Born October 9, 1995, to Michael Keith Smith and Shannon Giroir Morse, Shawn graduated from Brooklyn Cayce High School with a 3.9 grade point average. He enjoyed his friends, fishing and soccer and was known for being honest and hardworking.
In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by his brothers, CJ Morse, Thomas Burton, Kevin Morse and Landyn DeBruhl; grandparents, Wayne and Susan Phillips, and Donna Sullivan. He was preceded in death by his aunt, Jillian Phillips.
A memorial service will be held at a later time. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
