Sherron (Sherry) Lee Forsgren, 77, of Columbia, died on Saturday, November 9, 2024. Born in Salinas, California, on April 2, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Bruce Babcock and Alta May Maple Cummins. Mrs. Forsgren worked in accounting for her career and retired as the accountant for Monterey Peninsula Water Management in Monterey, California after 16 years of service. Earlier in her life, she also worked for a CPA firm and operated her own bookkeeping and income tax practice from 1980 until 2005. She and her husband, Henry moved to Columbia in 2005 to be closer to her son and family. While in Columbia, she was employed by Living Springs Lutheran Church as their bookkeeper for 16 years. She was a member of Village Church in Blythewood since 2015, and she enjoyed spending time and traveling with her family, friends and cousins.

Survivors include her son, Kelley Fischer (Kerri); grandson, Tyler Fischer; granddaughter, Alyssa Fischer; and step-son, Bryan Forsgren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Carlos Forsgren.

The service for Mrs. Forsgren will be held at 10 o'clock, Wednesday, November 13th, at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, 7600 Trenholm Road Ext., Columbia. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
