Shirley Ann Collini Harris Czimbalmos, 69, of Columbia, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Born in Dayton, OH on December 1, 1946, she was a daughter of the late, Paul Edward Collini and Estella Marie Shotsman Collini. She retired from General Motors and moved to Columbia in 2007 to be closer to family. Mrs. Czimbalmos was a member of Northeast Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her brother, Edward Richard Collini of Sarasota, FL; and a sister, Janice M. Franklin of Blythewood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Allan Collini and Paul Louis Collini.
Shirley left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her family, close friends, her Sisters in Christ Sunday School class, her church family and the residents at The Waterford will always remember Shirley for her kind heart, listening ear, ability to make people feel comfortable, her child like faith in her Lord, sense of humor, and her gift of giving, even when she had to do without. She faced her journey with cancer and declining health with grace and faith, which was a testimony to everyone. In her final days, she was surrounded by those who loved her. We witnessed God's provision, grace and many answers to prayer. We thank the staff of Pathway Hospice for their loving care and the staff at Shives Funeral Home for their compassion.
A service will be held 12:00 o'clock noon, 25 July 2016 at Northeast Presbyterian Church in the Grand Hall with Reverend Eric Walter officiating. Memorials may be made to Northeast Presbyterian Church, 601 Polo Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
