Shirley Elizabeth Pack Van Wyck, 88, of Columbia, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. Born in Amqui, Tennessee, on August 12, 1935, she was a daughter of the late James Columbus Pack and Zelpha Evelyn Miller Pack.

Mrs. Van Wyck was the loving wife to Robert Wagner Van Wyck, Sr. She and Robert shared a strong marriage of devotion and support to each other from 1956 until his death in 2016. Mrs. Van Wyck was a graduate of Hermitage High School in Tennessee. With a true servant's heart, her family was everything to her and she devoted her life to being a wife and mother. Mrs. Van Wyck enjoyed quilting, cross-stitch, and needlework. She was a talented cook and master gardener. Mrs. Van Wyck was a kind, loving soul and fondly remembered for always helping others. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her daughters, Julia Bliss (Gary) of Drain, OR, Deborah Van Wyck (Joe) of Columbia, SC, Carol Van Wyck of Sheffield, AL, Susan Van Wyck (Teri) of Tampa, FL, and Ruth Manasco of Myrtle Beach, SC; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Robert Van Wyck, Jr.; sister, Barbara McAdams; and brother, Wayne Pack.

Services for Mrs. Van Wyck will be held privately. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
