Stanley John Wszola, 66, of Columbia, died Thursday, May 26, 2017. Born December 18, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Stanley and Katherine Krupa Wszola. He was a 1968 high school graduate and received a degree in Journalism from Temple University. Stanley moved to New Hampshire to work for Byte Magazine and later for the State of New Hampshire IT Department as a technical writer. He married his beloved wife, Celeste, in 2005 and moved to SC in retirement. He was a member of the Polish Alliance, volunteered at the SC State Museum, and was an excellent grandpa.

Survivors include his wife, Celeste Lee Wszola of Columbia; daughter, Gillian Wszola; brother, Henry Wszola, both of New Hampshire; stepson, Aaron Griswold (Melanie); grandchildren, Vance, Lilly, and Paige Griswold, all of Columbia; a niece, Lyndsie; and a nephew, Zachary. In addition to his parents, Stanley was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wszola.

A private family service for Mr. Wszola will be held at Hunting Island State Park. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
