Steven Edward Turner, 61, of North Augusta, died Friday, December 15th, 2023. He was born to Mr. Richard Edward Turner and Mrs. Dagmar Brigitte Turner on August 16th, 1962 in Augusta, GA.

Steven was raised in a military family and was from many places throughout his childhood. He graduated high school in San Francisco. After graduating he joined the United States Army where he served for 15 years before being honorably discharged. Following his time in the military, Steven became a Union Electrician where he worked for IBEW Local 1579 for many years.

Steven loved being a grandpa. You could always tell he had a different spark in his eye when he was talking about his grandkids. He loved cheering for the Florida Gators and Atlanta Falcons. He enjoyed cooking and always wanted everyone to try his food. He was the best father anyone could ask for and he will be deeply missed.

Steven is survived by his son, Erik Turner; brothers, Tom Turner and Tony Turner; sister, Kathy Lennartz, grandsons, Brooks Turner and Jameson Turner; 4 nieces; and 5 nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Turner will be held on Wednesday at 4 o'clock at Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel. The family will receive guests at the funeral home prior to the service at 3 o'clock. Burial will occur Thursday at 10 o'clock at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29229.
