Susan Adair Nelson, 73, of Columbia, SC, died on Sunday, August 20, 2023. Born in Claremont, NH, on February 11, 1950, she was a daughter of the late John and Alice Turgeon Adair. Mrs. Nelson moved from Claremont, NH in 1995 to Columbia, SC. She enjoyed crafting, making quilts and was talented in jewelry making.

Survivors include her daughters, Becky Ramond (Amy Hawkinson) and Carrie Ryan; grandsons, Donald Magoon and Joshua Magoon (Robin); great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Magoon; as well as her sisters, Gloria Roberts and Louise Youngblood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Nelson; sister, Carol Ferland; and brother, Butch Adair.

There will be a private graveside service for Mrs. Nelson at Belleview Cemetery, Grovetown, GA. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
