Tamika S. Starks, 36, of Elgin, died on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Born in Spartanburg, SC, on July 6, 1987, she was a daughter of Milton Smith and Sheila Renee Starks Frye. Tamika was a loving mother who loved her children dearly. She was a wonderful people-person and enjoyed fashion and make-up. Tamika was currently enrolled and set to receive her bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management in December of 2023.

Survivors include her husband, Brandon Jeter; daughter, Kelley Jeter; son Jaiden Jeter; brother, Harold (Melissa) Smith; sister, Stacey Smith; best friend, Candace Brown; best friend, Latoya Jeeter; best friend, Tina Downing; as well as aunts; Cynthia Starks-Mark, Thalia Henderson; God-aunt, Saundra Turner, cousins, Ellen Starks, William Starks, Marcus Starks, Darrius Starks, uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Gloria Faye Starks.

The service for Mrs. Starks will be private. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
