Ted Henry Bradberry, 80, of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2022. Born on September 25, 1941, in Anderson, South Carolina, he was the son of the late John Henry and Louise Dixon Bradberry.

Ted was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he completed his undergraduate business degree, earned the Juris Doctor (JD) degree, and enjoyed time with Sigma Chi brothers. He practiced law in the early 1970s in Winnsboro, SC, before moving to Columbia, where he continued to practice for nearly 20 years. Once his health started to decline, Ted taught himself to use computers and studied many technical and analytical systems for stock market actions.

Ted was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan and supporter of all USC sports. He enjoyed listening to music, from country to jazz, and watching old western films. Ted was his happiest when spending quality time with his friends and loved ones.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Varina (VL) Brown Bradberry; sister, Janis Turrentine (Billy) of Spartanburg, SC; three sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family sends special thanks to Victoria Chavis, who cared for him and laughed with him in the recent months.

Due to covid, a private celebration of life for Ted will be held at a later date. Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel, is assisting the family.
